My First ERPMy First ERP

After three decades as a CTO — building platforms, launching products, scaling systems, and shipping more releases than anyone can count — there was still one mythical rite of passage I had never crossed: an ERP go-live. But in 2025, the streak ended. This POAP commemorates my very first ERP go-live, a milestone marked with equal parts accomplishment and amusement. Inspired by an “old school” merit-badge image a friend sent to celebrate the moment, this token captures the joyful absurdity of earning a merit badge for something so notoriously complex and essential. Minted in good humor — and with genuine appreciation for everyone who made the implementation a success — this POAP marks the occasion where I finally joined the ERP club. Better late than never.
